Going South from Johnstown on Highway 25
See the long line on the other side...Going North on Hwy 25 was closed due to the flooding!
The drivers had the choice of turning around and going south
or staying and waiting in Johnstown until the highway was opened.

Good night!
TRAPPED! Stuck in Small Town in Colorado!
We left at 5:30 am to avoid the rain and flooding in Boulder and to go to California!
The weather in California was sunny and nice...we wanted to be there!
Also we wanted to spend time with my mother and sister/brother in law for few days!
We drove on Foothills Parkway...
after few miles the truck was skidded out of the lane and stopped sideway of the road.
We had to get off and used Airport Road and several roads to get back on Foothills Parkway.
Huh ohhh, the road barricade on Foothills Parkway!
We had to use other roads to get to Highway 25!
Water everywhere! Both sides of roads! Some flooding!
Finally we were on Hwy 25 and the traffic was terrible! Moving very slow!
Huhh ohhh no! We all had to get off the highway and entered that exit...it leaded us to Johnstown.
I drove to many different roads trying to get to other highway,
but most roads were closed.
We had to go back to Johnstown and stayed there.
All roads around the town were closed!
Then we were told to be at Roosevelt High School to stay and wait until the roads were opened again.
We had rain and rain all day...waited and waited for hours to know if roads were opened.
At last the only road, Highway 25 South is open.
We decided to drive south and go home in Arizona!
Emergency Announcement Every Few Minutes on TV!
OFF we go! We left just before 5 pm! What a long day!

Flood! Evacuation! Broken Records!
UNBELIEVABLE!
Rain...Rain...Rain...Rain...Rain for 3 Days!
We had to evacuate our hotel room since there would be a huge flood coming!
We are staying in Issac's small "home" (he is renting a friend's house)
STILL RAIN when I am doing this blog tonight!
Click HERE for the news! Please read...Very Interesting!
BROKEN RECORDS!
Below is the first part of the news:
Boulder has set a record for its wettest 24-hour period. Ever. Prior
to Wednesday, the single wettest day on record was July 31, 1919, when
4.80 inches of rain were recorded, according to Bob Henson, a science
writer at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Henson said that
the latest official readings for Boulder show that from 6 p.m.
Wednesday to 9:15 a.m. today, 7.21 inches of rain have fallen in
Boulder, with amounts likely varying from a bit lower in northeast areas
of the city to higher than that to the southwest. Additionally, the
last three days of rain are more than Boulder has experienced in any
month on record. Since the rain kicked in late Monday afternoon, Boulder
has recorded 9.61 inches of rain, topping the 9.59 inches recorded in
the entire month of May 1995. It is also by far the rainiest September
ever for the city.

Then we rested and stayed inside...we went to Issac's "home" again for dinner.
